An existing practice could be interested in adding imaging so they can offer a full spectrum of services and aid in patient care. However, a large capital investment for equipment or clinical volumes may make a full ownership approach difficult. Outsourcing provides the company flexibility with scheduling, especially if they have volumes that can only provide one service day a week, and requires not capital investment.
There should be no, or very little, upfront cost. The whole purpose of mobile imaging is to provide the practice with an imaging solution without an initial capital investment or overhead expenditure. Bright Imaging is responsible for credentialing requirements, accreditation standard, equipment, supplies, and HIPPA compliance.
Bright Imaging will review your clinical volumes to identify the overall need and then determine how many days of service would work best for your practice.
Generally, one service day a month with six patients per day is considered reasonable. More patients allow for greater profitability. If there are less than four patients a day it could be difficult to justify the economics.
Yes! Bright Imaging refused to sacrifice diagnostic quality for portability. All of our equipment is manufactured for clinical settings. We use a top of the line mobile ultrasound system from Samsung that offers many advanced imaging techniques allowing for better imaging.

This is an exam that was NOT requested by your health care provider, and is offered solely to promote a positive bonding experience for expecting family and friends. This exam does not provide diagnostic information to you or your healthcare provider. Ideally, a routine exam should be preformed prior to an elective exam to evaluate for fetal anomalies.
The ideal fetal age is dependent on what type of package you are seeking.
Unfortunately, no these exams are considered elective by your insurance and not medically necessary. Therefore, insurance will not reimburse for these exams. However, we do offer diagnostic exams that can be billed to your insurance.
Amniotic fluid is the most influential fcctor in obtaining good images. We recommend drinking adequate amounts of water (32 ounces/day) one to two weeks prior to their appointment. Drinking large amounts of water immediately before the 3D ultrasound appointment does not help! Pay attention to the time of day that baby is the most active. Scanning your baby during this time can help increase your chances of obtaining pictures of baby's face. Bring things with you that tend to make baby move (i.e. orange juice, cold water, or candy).
Customer satisfaction is very important to us! If your baby is uncooperative (i.e. facing towards spine, covering face with hands and feet, or breech presentation) and we are unable to obtain adequate images we will offer for you to reschedule your ultrasound within the next two weeks for free. We promise to make every effort to obtain the best images possible. However, If absolutely no images are able to be obtained due to factors out of our control (i.e. maternal condition and low fluid) we will offer a refund minus the travel deposit of $30. Once services are rendered no refunds will be offered. Additionally, if during this entertainment exam any anomaly is discovered by our sonographer this exam will turn into a diagnostic examination> You and your baby's well-being are our top priority and no refund will be issued even if 3D/4D images are not obtained.
*We apologize in advance but legally our sonographers cannot discuss medical findings. Standard protocol is to discuss findings with our radiologist, and these findings will be discussed with your health care provider. We will take the steps necessary to ensure the safety of you and your baby.
Bright Imaging request customers to call within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Any cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours will be assessed a cancellation fee of $50. Customers who miss their appointments without any notification will be charged for the full package price.
All photos and video recording of your baby will be provided to the family via USB. Unfortunately, for the privacy and protection of our sonographers we cannot allow video recordings during an exam without prior permission from you tech.
